Rugged craftsmanship meets structural symmetry — this handmade copper cuff is woven from five strands of solid 12-gauge copper wire into a tight diagonal plait, creating a broad profile with an unmistakable tactile depth and reassuring weight on the wrist. Built to last a lifetime, the ends are autogenously TIG-welded into seamless copper terminals with zero filler metal. Hand-buffed to a brilliant mirror shine, every contour of the weave catches the light while maintaining a smooth, snag-free profile.

5-Strand Diagonal Plait Craftsmanship

Built with structural integrity in mind, this piece uses a precision plaiting technique:

  • Hand-Platted Weave: Five continuous strands of solid 12 AWG bare copper wire are systematically hand-braided into a flat, interlocking diagonal weave that maintains exceptional torsional rigidity and lays comfortable and flush against the wrist.

  • TIG-Fused Terminals: To anchor all five strands permanently, the ends are autogenously TIG-welded into smooth, solid copper terminals with zero solder, alloys, or external filler metal for a seamless, lifelong bond.

  • Mirror-Buffed Finish: Torch-annealed, hand-trued, and buffed to a high-luster mirror polish that highlights the rich contours of each wire strand, then sealed with microcrystalline wax for lasting protection

Key Details:

  • Materials: Pure solid bare copper (12 AWG wire)
  • Craftsmanship: Hand-braided 5-strand diagonal plait
  • Seamless Fusion: TIG-fused terminal ends with zero filler rod for a smooth, snag-free finish and lifelong structural integrity
  • Finish: Hand-buffed high-luster mirror finish; sealed with microcrystalline wax
  • Fit: Slightly adjustable open cuff format for a comfortable, contoured fit

⚒ Made to Order
Each piece is handcrafted after your order is placed. Please allow up to 15 business days for your cuff to be made and shipped out.

🖐 How to Find Your Size

  1. Wrap a piece of string or paper snugly (just slightly snug) around your wrist bone.

  2. Mark where the ends meet, then lay it flat against a ruler.

  3. Order your exact wrist measurement—don't add extra room. The 1-inch gap built into the cuff gives you the clearance you need to put it on.

🔧 Wearing & Adjusting

  • Putting it on: Roll the cuff on from the side of your wrist just above the bone. Don't yank it open to pull it straight over your arm.

  • Dialing in the fit: Give the cuff a gentle, firm squeeze once to set it to your wrist. Avoid bending it open and closed repeatedly so the copper stays rock-solid.

✨ Care & Maintenance

Keep your copper cuff looking its best with simple daily care:

  • Avoid Lotions & Oils: Moisture, harsh chemicals, body lotions, and skincare oils speed up oxidation and cause skin discoloration (greening). Put your cuff on after applying cosmetics.

  • Daily Wipe Down: After wearing, wipe the interior and exterior down with a soft, clean cloth to remove skin oils and sweat before storing.

  • Light Cleaning: If soiled, wash with mild dish soap and warm water using a soft-bristled brush (like a soft toothbrush) to clear buildup from the weave.

  • Rinse & Dry Thoroughly: Rinse completely with clean water, dry thoroughly with a towel, and buff with a soft cloth to restore shine.

Copper & Skin Oxidation

🌿 A Note on Copper & Skin Oxidation

Pure, solid copper naturally reacts with air, moisture, and your body’s unique chemistry (such as sweat and natural skin oils). Over time, this natural oxidation can leave a harmless, temporary greenish mark on the skin where the cuff rests.

  • Why It Happens: This green tint is copper carbonate — a safe, natural byproduct of pure copper reacting with micro-moisture, skin pH, or everyday products like soaps, lotions, and cologne. It is non-toxic, completely harmless, and easily washes away with regular soap and water.
  • Our Process: We seal every piece with a protective coat of microcrystalline wax to preserve the shine and slow down oxidation. However, depending on your body chemistry and wear habits, the wax will gradually wear off, allowing the copper to develop its own rich, natural character and patina.
  • Minimizing Greening: To keep skin marking to a minimum, keep your wrist dry, avoid wearing your cuff while applying lotions or cosmetics, and wipe the inside down with a clean, soft cloth after daily wear.
